Pay Per Click (PPC) Explained

Simply put, Pay Per Click is an advertising system in which the advertiser maintains complete control of expenditure, advertisement copy, and traffic flow, and can "turn on" or "turn off" advertisements at (literally) a moment's notice.

How it works:

  1. Determine which words people are using to search for your product or service in the major search engines (i.e. find relevant keywords.)

Our Proven Methodology

When it comes to allocating an advertising budget, Online Ad Expert has developed methods that have been shown to consistently produce a positive return on investment. Most PPC companies use broad match far too often for the sake of convenience, and capture irrelevant, expensive traffic as a result. Although our method requires us to do much more work, we've found that the extra effort is worth it.

Phase 2 (Initial Account Management Phase): Another repeating process, this phase is designed to dig into the core of what is working in the PPC account, and what is not. In most cases we are able to determine the return on investment for the "initial run," and then fine-tune the account for optimal performance. Depending on your budget, we can then expand the campaign to minor search engines such as Yahoo and Bing. The most important part of this phase is A-B ad testing - a process in which we create multiple ads within your account and test them against each other to discover the advertisement with the highest click-through-rate (CTR).

Phase 3 (Continuing Management and Maintenance): The effectiveness of a PPC campaign varies significantly over time due to outside factors such as competitors raising or lowering bids, search engines making algorithm changes, and customers changing their search habits.
